IHCL to Open 10 New Hotels in South India in Partnership with Madison

Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) has entered into an agreement with Madison, the hospitality platform of Terminus Group and JV Ventures, to operate ten new hotels in South India under its Ginger brand, as per reports.

Investment Plan and Details

As per the reports, Madison will invest close to ₹500 crore in building these hotels over the next 3 years. The projects will add more than 1,000 rooms to the Ginger portfolio. Construction will include both greenfield and brownfield sites.

The first project under this partnership is a 75-room Ginger hotel at Genome Valley in Telangana. It will be the first branded hotel in the region and is positioned to support activity in the Genome Valley Industrial Corridor.

The agreement is based on an operating lease model, described as capital-light for IHCL. Madison will undertake construction and development, while IHCL will manage operations under the Ginger brand.

About Madison and Ginger Brand 

Madison was created in 2023 as a joint venture between Terminus Group and JV Ventures. Its focus is on hospitality developments across industrial and spiritual towns. The group confirmed that all ten hotels under this agreement will be delivered within three years.

The Ginger brand currently operates hotels across India. It targets the mid-scale segment with presence in metros, state capitals, commercial centres, leisure destinations, and pilgrimage locations.

Indian Hotels Company Share Price Performance

As of 11:40 AM on August 19, 2025, Indian Hotels Company share price was trading at ₹774.95, a 0.07% decrease from the previous closing price.
