IBM has opened a new India Client Experience Centre in Mumbai, as per news reports. The facility will provide enterprises with access to technologies in artificial intelligence, hybrid cloud, and quantum computing. It will also serve as a space for collaboration between IBM teams, clients, and partners.

Partnership with Maharashtra

At the launch, IBM signed a Letter of Intent with the Government of Maharashtra. The agreement covers cooperation on the state’s quantum initiatives. This includes support through skills development, workshops, and sharing expertise to help shape a quantum ecosystem in the state.

Inauguration by the Chief Minister

The centre was inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. As per news reports, he stated, “With AI, quantum computing, and semiconductors, we are building a Viksit Maharashtra and Viksit Bharat.

Through our collaboration with IBM, we will harness quantum innovation to transform lives while building a skilled talent pool to democratise its benefits and make them accessible to every citizen of the state.”

Facilities and Demonstrations

The Mumbai centre will showcase demonstrations across IBM’s technology portfolio. These include AI applications via the watsonx platform, automation, data solutions, cybersecurity, and hybrid cloud. The centre is intended to allow enterprises to test and explore these technologies for business use.

As per news reports, Hans Dekkers, General Manager, IBM Asia Pacific, stated: “The IBM India Client Experience Centre reinforces our commitment to advancing India’s journey in AI, hybrid cloud, and quantum computing.
