Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) has entered into a major collaboration with the Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA). The agreement, signed on September 8, 2025, in Mumbai, outlines HUDCO’s commitment to support urban development in the region through significant financial backing and advisory services.
The non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focuses on exploring funding opportunities of up to ₹11,300 crore over the next 5 years. These funds will be channelled towards land acquisition, housing, and large-scale infrastructure development across the Nagpur Metropolitan Region. In addition to financial assistance, HUDCO will provide consultancy services and capacity-building support to NMRDA, reinforcing its role as a development partner.
The MoU was signed in the presence of key leaders from Maharashtra. Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Chief Minister, and Shri Eknath Shinde, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, witnessed the occasion along with HUDCO Chairman and Managing Director, Shri Sanjay Kulshrestha, and other dignitaries.

It has been at the forefront of financing housing and urban infrastructure projects across the country. Over the decades, HUDCO has extended its role beyond funding to consultancy services, technical assistance, and capacity building, contributing significantly to India’s urban development and affordable housing mission.
