HG Infra Engineering Limited (HGINFRA) has informed the exchanges that its wholly owned subsidiary, H.G. Varanasi-Kolkata PKG-13 Private Limited, has received the provisional appointed date for a major highway construction project awarded by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The communication was received on September 30, 2025, confirming the start timeline for execution.
The project involves the construction of a 6-lane Greenfield Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata Highway section from Lepo village to Kamlapur village (Jharkhand/West Bengal border), covering 28.70 km between km 358.500 and km 387.200. The work is part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana initiative and will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM).
The project cost is estimated at ₹925.11 crore, with a completion timeline of 730 days from the appointed date. With the provisional date set as September 30, 2025, execution is now expected to move into full scale as per the agreed schedule. This development reinforces HGINFRA’s strong position in national highway development projects.
The Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata highway is a critical infrastructure link under the Bharatmala Pariyojana programme, aimed at improving connectivity and boosting economic activity in the eastern region of India.
