GST Rate Cut: Mahindra Slashes ICE SUV Prices, Offering Up to ₹2.5 Lakh in Benefits

Mahindra & Mahindra has reduced prices across its internal combustion engine (ICE) SUV lineup, with overall benefits reaching up to ₹2.56 lakh. As per the news reports, the revised prices take effect from September 22, following the implementation of GST 2.0.
Details of Reduction and Benefits
The changes include a reduction in ex-showroom prices ranging between ₹1.01 lakh and ₹1.56 lakh, depending on the model. Alongside this, additional consumer benefits of up to ₹1.29 lakh are being offered, bringing down the effective cost for buyers further.
Model-wise Adjustments
As per the news reports, the Bolero Neo now carries a starting ex-showroom price of ₹8.79 lakh, with a price cut of ₹1.27 lakh and added benefits of ₹1.29 lakh, amounting to a total of ₹2.56 lakh. The XUV 3XO, starting at ₹7.28 lakh, sees a reduction of ₹1.56 lakh and further benefits of ₹0.90 lakh, bringing savings to ₹2.46 lakh.
The Thar, priced at ₹10.32 lakh, receives a reduction of ₹1.35 lakh, with overall benefits of ₹1.55 lakh. The Thar Roxx follows at ₹12.25 lakh, with savings of ₹1.53 lakh. In the Scorpio range, the Classic variant is now ₹12.98 lakh with benefits of ₹1.96 lakh, while the Scorpio-N at ₹13.20 lakh offers savings of up to ₹2.15 lakh.
The XUV700, with a new starting price of ₹13.19 lakh, has been cut by ₹1.43 lakh, along with benefits of ₹0.81 lakh, taking the total to ₹2.24 lakh.
GST Rate Changes and Impact
Earlier this month, the GST Council announced changes to indirect tax rates, consolidating four slabs into two main categories, 5% and 18% while placing larger vehicles in a new 40% bracket. Mahindra’s adjustments are in line with these changes, passing on the benefits to customers.

Mahindra & Mahindra Share Price Performance
As of September 22, 2025, 10:03 AM, Mahindra & Mahindra share price was trading at ₹3,585.80, a 0.18% decrease from the previous closing price.
Conclusion
With the new prices, Mahindra’s SUVs including the Bolero Neo, XUV 3XO, Thar, Scorpio variants, Thar Roxx, and XUV700 are now cheaper by up to ₹2.56 lakh, offering lower entry prices across the range.
