
On Thursday, November 13, 2025, Indian equity benchmarks, Sensex and Nifty 50 are expected to open flat amid mixed global signals.
On Wednesday, Indian markets extended their rally for the third straight session. The Sensex gained 595.19 points (0.71%) to close at 84,466.51, while the Nifty 50 jumped 180.85 points (0.70%) to end at 25,875.80.
The Gift Nifty was trading around 25,955, about 30 points below Nifty futures’ previous close, indicating a muted start for domestic markets.
Asian stocks traded mostly higher on Thursday, following a mixed close on Wall Street. Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose 0.42%, and the Topix index gained 0.62% to hit a record high. However, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index futures suggested a weaker start, while South Korean markets were scheduled to open later in the day.
US markets ended mixed overnight. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.68% to a record 48,254.82, while the S&P 500 edged up 0.06% to 6,850.92. The Nasdaq Composite slipped 0.26% to 23,406.46 as tech stocks saw profit booking.
Tesla shares fell 2.05%, Amazon dropped 1.97%, and Oracle declined 3.9%, while AMD rallied 9% and Goldman Sachs rose 3.5%.
India’s retail inflation eased sharply to 0.25% in October from 1.44% in September, a record low.

Indian markets are likely to open flat today amid cautious global sentiment. While easing inflation and progress on trade deals support optimism, concerns over global growth, oil prices, and US policy developments may keep volatility high.
