In October, festive offers lifted electric 2-wheeler demand, enabling Bajaj Auto to capture the largest share with 29,597 units sold, eclipsing TVS and Athe,r while Ola Electric slipped to fourth.

Bajaj Auto Tops EV 2 Wheeler Market

Data from the Vahan portal shows Bajaj Auto delivering 29,597 EV units in the month, securing a market share of 21.9%. The company benefited from aggressive cashback and low down‑payment schemes on its Chetak Urbane and Premium variants, driving strong urban uptake.

TVS and Ather Maintain Strong Sales

TVS Motor remained close behind with 28,008 units, 20.7% share, sustained by its iQube range. Ather Energy reported 26,713 sales, 19.6% market share, aided by the newly launched 450 Apex and expanded charging grid.

Ola Electric Falls to Fourth

Ola Electric registered 15,481 units, 11.6% of the market, reflecting its gradual decline after consecutive months of falling sales and stiffer competition from rival 2‑wheeler EVs.

The aggregate EV 2-wheeler registrations crossed the 2,04,000 mark, an 11% sequential rise after 2 consecutive months of decline, underscoring the robust impact of holiday season promotions and improved financing options across the sector.
