Starlink, the satellite internet company owned by Elon Musk, has taken a crucial step towards strengthening its presence in India by leasing its first office space in New Delhi, as per The Economic Times report.

The company has opted for a premium flexible workspace at the World Trade Center, Nauroji Nagar, provided by CorporatEdge.

Starlink’s Office Deal with CorporatEdge in Delhi

Starlink has leased a facility with a seating capacity for 50 individuals at the World Trade Center located in Nauroji Nagar, New Delhi. This marks the company’s first office in northern India. The leased space is managed by CorporatEdge, a known provider of premium office spaces offering hospitality-style services and flexibility to corporate clients.

The selection of a Delhi address is aligned with the company’s strategy to remain close to administrative and decision-making centres in India. The choice also mirrors a similar move by OpenAI, which has also leased office space at the same location.

Growing Interest from Global Tech Firms in Delhi

The trend of global technology companies choosing flexible and premium workspaces in the national capital is becoming more prevalent. Companies like Starlink and OpenAI are opting for this approach to ensure that their workforce is well-connected to the power corridors, facilitating smoother implementation of their business activities.

Flexible office providers, such as CorporatEdge, are witnessing increased interest from such corporations due to their focus on premium features, operational scalability, and central locations.

The company’s operational and signed portfolio is expected to reach 5,90,000 sq ft by the end of the current financial year.

India's flexible workspace market is also growing. According to data, it is projected to reach 1,25,000,000 sq ft by 2027, from 80,000,000 sq ft in 2024, with the Delhi-NCR region contributing a notable share of this increase.

Conclusion

Starlink’s lease of office space in New Delhi with CorporatEdge indicates the company’s operational readiness and strategic positioning. By choosing a central location and premium office provider, Starlink sets its footprint in the Indian corporate landscape.
