Colab Platforms Limited announced a non-binding MoU with RRP Drones Innovation Private Limited to collaborate on designing, developing and deploying all-weather AI-powered autonomous aerial surveillance drones across Agriculture, industrial sites, law enforcement, Energy and Infrastructure, Border Patrol and Defence, with plans to jointly incorporate an SPV under the Companies Act, 2013, for development and commercialisation of multi-purpose drones.
The partnership establishes intent to create a jointly promoted SPV focused on end-to-end capabilities, including design, development, deployment and commercial scaling of multi-purpose drones tailored for surveillance and sector-specific use cases.
The companies clarified that there is no existing shareholding or related party relationship, and the MoU is non-binding, with further details to evolve as the SPV structure is finalised.
Planned applications span border security surveillance, industrial monitoring, law enforcement support, Agriculture operations and environmental protection, emphasising autonomous and all-weather operations powered by AI.
The collaboration aims to convert pilots into scaled multi-year programmes, enhancing protection of critical infrastructure and national security while improving agri productivity outcomes.
