Day 1: Dhanteras – Saturday, October 18, 2025

Devotees purchase gold, silver, utensils, or other valuable items. Homes are decorated with lamps and rangoli. Prayers to Lord Dhanvantari focus on health and wellness.

Day 2: Choti Diwali / Naraka Chaturdashi – Monday, October 20, 2025

Choti Diwali celebrates Lord Krishna’s victory over the demon Narakasura. Ritual baths, early morning oil application, home decorations, and small family celebrations mark this day.

• Begins: 03:44 PM on October 20
• Ends: 05:54 PM on October 21

The main Diwali day focuses on worshipping Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha. Homes are cleaned and decorated, diyas and candles are lit, and grand pujas are performed in the evening. Fireworks, feasts, and the exchange of gifts complete the celebrations.
