Cyient Semiconductors and Global Foundries Announce Strategic Partnership for ASIC Turnkey Solutions
Cyient Limited has announced that its subsidiary, Cyient Semiconductors Private Limited, has entered a strategic Channel Partner Agreement with GlobalFoundries (GF), one of the world’s leading pure-play semiconductor foundries. Under this agreement, Cyient Semiconductors will serve as an authorised reseller of GF’s semiconductor manufacturing services and technologies, marking a significant expansion in the company’s global value chain footprint.
Partnership to Enable Access and Speed-to-Market
This collaboration allows Cyient Semiconductors to provide customers with access to GF’s high-performance, energy-efficient process technologies. As a channel partner, Cyient Semiconductors will offer a full range of value-added services, including fabrication access, technical consultation, design enablement, assembly and testing. These services aim to accelerate innovation and reduce time-to-market for semiconductor companies across critical industries.
Suman Narayan, CEO of Cyient Semiconductors, said, “This partnership unlocks a new dimension in our growth strategy. It enables us to support fabless companies by giving them access to world-class foundry capabilities.” He added that by combining GlobalFoundries’ technologies with Cyient’s turnkey ASIC capabilities, the partnership will help drive innovation across automotive, industrial, medical and communications sectors.
A Global Alliance to Serve Essential Industries
Samuel Vicari, Chief Customer Officer at GlobalFoundries, commented that Cyient brings strong domain expertise, customer-centricity, and complementary design capabilities. He said the agreement aligns with GF’s ambition to expand strategic alliances and deliver innovative technologies that support essential industries globally. “Together, we will empower next-generation companies to scale faster and smarter, without compromising on quality and reliability,” Vicari said.
The agreement reinforces GlobalFoundries’ channel strategy to reach high-potential, underrepresented customers and strengthens Cyient Semiconductors’ position in the global semiconductor ecosystem. A dedicated team has been set up to provide coordination, technical support and seamless service delivery under this alliance.
