Closing Bell: Nifty 50 and Sensex, All Sectors Ended in Red

On November 13, 2024, the benchmark equity indices crashed over 1%. Nifty 50 was down 1.36% and settled at 23,559.05 while Sensex was up 1.25% to 77,690.95. Nifty Bank was down 2.09% to 50,088.35. The volatility indicator Nifty VIX was up 5.03% to 15.33, reflecting a rise in volatility.
Sectoral Performance
All the sectors closed in red, indicating heightened volatility. Nifty Realty and Nifty PSU Stocks were the most falling sectors with a drop of 3.17% and 3.08%, respectively.
Top Gainer and Losers
Britannia, Grasim Industries, Tata Motors, Asian Paints and NTPC were the top gainers for the day. Hero MotoCorp, M&M, Hindalco, Tata Steel, and Eicher Motors were the top losers on the NSE.
Oil Prices
On November 13, 2024, at 04:00 PM, Brent Crude stood at $72.57, reflecting a rise of 0.95%.
