Closing Bell: Sensex, Nifty Closed in Red; Tata Motors Leads Gainers on December 6

On December 6, 2024, both the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty50 ended the day in red. The BSE Sensex closed at 81,709.12, down by 56.74 points or 0.07%. Similarly, the Nifty50 also closed at 24,677.80, dropping by 30.60 points or 0.12%.
Sectoral Performance
On Friday, Nifty Media, Nifty IT and Nifty Bank ended in the red. Nifty Metal, Nifty Consumer Durables and Nifty Auto ended in the green. Nifty Metal and Nifty Consumer Durables rose by more than 1%.
Top Gainers and Losers
On Friday, the top gainers on the Nifty included Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto and Axis Bank. In contrast, the losers were Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, Cipla and Bharti Airtel.
