Closing Bell: Nifty 50 and Sensex, Realty, Media Shares Led the Fall

On November 08, 2024, the benchmark equity indices ended in red. Nifty 50 was down 0.21% and settled at 24,148.20 while Sensex was down 0.07% to 79,486.32. Nifty Bank was down 0.68% to 51,561.20. The volatility indicator Nifty VIX was down 2.45% to 14.57, reflecting a rise in volatility.
Sectoral Performance
Nifty Realty and Nifty were the most falling sectors with a drop of 2.90% and 2.09%, respectively. On the flip side, Nifty IT and Nifty Consumer Durable rose 0.71% and 0.41%, respectively.
Top Gainer and Losers
M&M, Titan, Tech Mahindra, Nestle India, and Infosys were the top gainers for the day, while Trent, Coal India, Asian Paints, Tata Steel, and SBI were the top losers on the NSE.
Oil Prices
On November 08, 2024, at 03:53 PM, Brent Crude stood at $74.50, reflecting a fall of 1.49%.
