BSE and PHDCCI Partner to Boost Capital Market Access for MSMEs

BSE and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) have joined hands to expand awareness of MSME equity financing and improve access to the capital market, as per The Business Standard news report citing PTI report.
The partnership focuses on helping eligible businesses understand how the BSE SME platform and the listing process work.
BSE and PHDCCI Sign MoU for MSME Equity Financing
BSE Ltd and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create greater awareness among MSMEs about raising funds through equity financing.
A major focus of the partnership will be the BSE SME platform. Eligible businesses will receive information about the listing process, requirements, and different stages involved in accessing the capital market.
BSE SME Platform to Support Capital Market Awareness
BSE will provide subject matter experts and trainers for seminars, workshops, roadshows and knowledge sessions. These programmes will explain the process and requirements associated with raising capital through the markets.
MSMEs will also have access to mentorship, expert guidance, and capacity building initiatives. A nodal point mechanism will be created to assist businesses exploring suitable capital market opportunities.
BSE Managing Director and CEO Sundararaman Ramamurthy said the partnership would bring awareness about SME listings closer to businesses across India.
“The BSE SME Platform offers eligible businesses an opportunity to access growth capital while enhancing visibility and corporate credibility,” he said.

PHDCCI Network to Expand MSME Outreach
PHDCCI will use its network of member associations, industry bodies and regional chambers to conduct awareness and capacity building programmes for SMEs.
