
As per Fortune India report, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has formed a strategic partnership with the RRP Group, marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on semiconductor, unmanned systems, and electro-optics.
This alliance supports India's indigenisation efforts and focuses on exporting advanced defence technologies.
The MoU, signed in Bengaluru, connects BEL's expertise in defence electronics with RRP Group's abilities in semiconductor manufacturing, electro-optical systems, and UAV development.
This partnership will primarily target the joint design and development of advanced technologies for defence and strategic applications, including surveillance systems and next-generation unmanned solutions.
This collaboration aligns with the Indian government's policy focus on strengthening the domestic defence manufacturing ecosystem.
With mounting emphasis on localisation and export-led growth, the partnership aims to unlock significant export opportunities, advancing India's position in global defence electronics.
Manoj Jain, Chairman and Managing Director of BEL, highlighted the significance of this MoU in bolstering the Indian defence ecosystem by leveraging combined expertise in defence electronics and semiconductor manufacturing.
Rajendra Chodankar, Founder and Chairman of RRP Group, echoed this sentiment, stating the collaboration would bolster the company’s contributions to India’s defence technology capabilities.
