All public and private sector banks, including State Bank of India (SBI), HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB) and others, remain closed on Sunday, July 26, as per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar.
Banks are closed on all Sundays, while the second and fourth Saturdays are also official bank holidays. Although branches remain shut, customers can continue using digital banking services.
Will Banks Remain Open This Week?
Yes. There are no additional bank holidays scheduled this week.
Since Saturday, August 1, is the first Saturday of the month, banks across India will remain open. There are also no state-specific holidays during the week, so customers can visit bank branches on all 6 working days.
Digital Banking Services Will Continue
Even on bank holidays, customers can access several banking services through digital channels, including:
- UPI payments and money transfers
- Mobile banking apps
- Internet banking
- ATM cash withdrawals
- Fund transfers and bill payments
These services are available round the clock, except during scheduled maintenance announced by banks.

On working days, most bank branches are open for customer services from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, though timings may vary slightly depending on the branch.
