
As the final month of 2025 approaches, stock market participants are turning their attention to the December trading timetable to plan their portfolios and refine year-end strategies.
According to the NSE’s official holiday calendar, December will feature just one market holiday apart from the regular weekend closures. In total, the Indian stock market will be closed for nine days next month. The only festive shutdown falls on December 25, when both the NSE and BSE will remain closed in observance of Christmas. With weekends accounting for the remaining closures, investors will have 22 trading sessions to wrap up the year.
The final market holiday of 2025 is on Thursday, December 25 for Christmas. Overall, the BSE and NSE recorded 14 trading holidays in 2025.
