AXISCADES, MBDA Expand Defence Partnership to Advance Make in India

AXISCADES Aerospace & Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of AXISCADES Technologies Ltd. has extended its association with MBDA, a European defence company, as per the exchange filings.
The collaboration between the 2 began nearly a decade ago with the creation of test benches for the MICA missile. It has gradually expanded to include additional work on missile launchers and related systems.
New Test Bench Facility
AXISCADES has opened an expanded test bench facility at its Aeroland campus in Devanahalli, Bengaluru. The centre has been developed to support the large-scale production of advanced test benches used in MBDA’s missile and launcher programs. The facility is part of plans to increase local manufacturing under India’s Make in India framework.
Infrastructure Expansion in Bengaluru and Hyderabad
The company is setting up a dedicated MBDA system integration centre at the Devanahalli Atmanirbhar Cluster in Bengaluru. The centre will add new capacity for assembly and testing of missile systems. AXISCADES also plans to establish a Missile Atmanirbhar Complex in Hyderabad, which will function as a facility for mass production of next-generation missile systems.

Headquartered in Bengaluru, the company operates across 17 global locations with over 3,000 employees. Its areas of work include avionics, radar, drones, and electronic warfare systems for Indian defence organisations and international clients.

As part of the announcement, MBDA stated that the new centres would support both its international programs and India’s local defence requirements. AXISCADES confirmed that the facilities are to scale up production and strengthen collaboration in missile technology development.
