AXISCADES Technologies Limited has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, AXISCADES Aerospace & Technologies Private Limited, has secured a significant contract from the Indian Army.
As part of the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, the Directorate General of Capability Development, Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army), has awarded the order for the supply of 212 units of next-generation 50-ton tank transporter trailers.
The contract involves the supply of heavy-duty trailers designed specifically to transport tanks and other military assets. These trailers are engineered to handle massive loads of up to 50 tons and are crucial for improving the Indian Army's mobility and logistics capabilities.
The execution timeline for the order is set for 2 years, indicating a substantial operational engagement for AXISCADES.
The order awarded to AXISCADES Aerospace & Technologies Private Limited carries a broad contract value of ₹223.95 crore.
This contract aligns with India's ongoing efforts to boost domestic defence manufacturing and reduce dependence on foreign suppliers. AXISCADES’ selection reinforces the growing trust in Indian private sector defence firms to deliver mission-critical systems and equipment. The trailers will play a vital role in enhancing the Indian Army’s ability to deploy armoured units across various terrains efficiently.
The order strengthens AXISCADES’ position in India’s defence sector and validates its capability to meet rigorous military standards. With growing demand for indigenous defence solutions, the company is well-placed to participate in future opportunities aligned with national strategic goals.
The Indian Army’s contract for 212 50-ton tank transporter trailers marks a milestone for AXISCADES Aerospace & Technologies. It not only supports the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission but also reinforces the role of Indian companies in building robust defence infrastructure for the nation.
