Aurionpro Solutions Limited has announced a significant milestone in its urban mobility portfolio, securing a major contract from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system for Mumbai Metro Lines 4 and 4A.
Aurionpro has been awarded a contract valued at nearly ₹250 crore to design, supply, implement, and maintain the AFC system for Mumbai Metro Lines 4 and 4A. The deal covers delivery of the complete system, including central clearing house software and all ticketing and payment hardware, followed by 5 years of maintenance and support.
This project is among the largest for Aurionpro in the urban mobility domain and builds on recent wins with Delhi Metro and Chennai Metro. Mumbai now becomes the third major metro city in India to entrust Aurionpro with its AFC infrastructure, reinforcing the company’s position in the sector.
The Mumbai Metro network, under MMRDA’s supervision, is one of the country’s most ambitious rapid transit systems, designed to improve connectivity, reduce congestion, and promote sustainable transport. Aurionpro will implement its indigenously developed solutions, including NCMC-enabled card readers and automated gates, entirely manufactured in India.
Aurionpro’s expertise spans account-based ticketing, EMV open-loop systems, hybrid AFC for railway reservations, and integrated mobility applications. By providing both software and hardware solutions in-house, the company aims to deliver end-to-end transit systems efficiently and reliably.
Aurionpro Solutions Ltd. is a global enterprise technology leader with a strong presence across banking, payments, mobility, insurance, transit, data centres, and government sectors.
