Akasa Air Introduces 'Akasa Elevate' Loyalty Programme to Attract Frequent Flyers, Corporate Travellers

Akasa Air introduced Akasa Elevate, its first loyalty programme, on August 7, 2026, as the airline completed 4 years of operations, according to The MoneyControl news report.
Members can earn and redeem points on eligible flight bookings as well as selected add-on services. The launch comes as Indian airlines continue to expand loyalty programmes to encourage repeat travel and customer retention.
The airline noted that the passengers who have travelled since April 1, 2026, can claim points for eligible past journeys after enrolling. Although the programme officially started on August 7, 2026, the retrospective benefit covers flights taken over the previous four months.
Tier-Based Benefits Across All Booking Channels
Akasa Elevate includes multiple membership tiers with benefits such as priority airport services, faster tier upgrades and additional travel flexibility.
The airline said these benefits will remain available even when tickets are booked through travel agents or online travel portals, instead of directly through Akasa Air.
The carrier has also introduced a same-day flight change facility for eligible members. Passengers reaching the airport early can move to an earlier flight departing within 12 hours without paying a change fee, provided seats are available. The airline said there is no cap on the number of times eligible members can use this option.
Customer Base Continues to Grow
Founder and Chief Executive Officer Vinay Dube said the airline decided to introduce the programme after carrying nearly 30 million passengers during its first 4 years of operations.
He said the loyalty scheme extends the airline's existing customer service initiatives rather than introducing a separate business model.
Akasa Air began commercial operations on August 7, 2022, and currently operates a fleet of 40 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. Its network covers 29 domestic destinations and seven international destinations.
Focus Includes Business and Leisure Travellers
The airline noted that the programme is open to all passengers and has not been created exclusively for corporate customers.
However, it expects regular travellers to make greater use of features such as flexible flight changes and tier-based benefits. Similar loyalty initiatives have become more common in the Indian aviation sector in recent years.
