After Mumbai, Tesla to Open Experience Centre in New Delhi on August 11, 2025

Tesla, the electric vehicle manufacturer, will open its second showroom in India on August 11, 2025, at Worldmark 3, Aerocity, New Delhi, as per news reports. The first showroom began operations in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) on July 15, 2025. Both outlets are positioned as experience centres for potential buyers.
Deliveries to Begin Later in 2025
As per news reports, Tesla is expected to begin deliveries in the 3rd quarter of 2025. The standard Model Y RWD variant will be delivered first, followed by the Long Range RWD version in the fourth quarter. Initial deliveries are planned for Delhi, Gurugram, and Mumbai.
Tesla has started building its charging infrastructure. In Mumbai, the first supercharging station was launched at One BKC. It has four DC V4 superchargers and 4 AC destination chargers. 3 more stations are planned in Thane, Lower Parel, and Navi Mumbai by September.
Delhi is expected to receive 16 superchargers located across Aerocity, Saket, Golf Course Road, and Noida. Mumbai will also have 16 chargers in total, with similar coverage in commercial and residential hubs.
Model Y Specifications and Pricing
Only the Model Y is currently available for order. The standard RWD variant is priced at ₹59.89 lakh, and the Long Range RWD variant at ₹67.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Both models are imported as completely built units (CBUs).
The standard Model Y offers a range of up to 500 km on a full charge, while the Long Range version claims up to 622 km.
Display Units and Accessories
Tesla has brought 6 Model Y units to India so far for display and test drives. Equipment for superchargers and accessories worth around $1 million have also been imported. These assets are expected to support the company’s rollout in Indian metros.
