AB Infrabuild Limited has been awarded a contract from East Coast Railways, part of Indian Railways, for the construction of a road over bridge on a key railway route. The project involves building a new bridge structure between Ichechhapuram Station and Jhadupudi Railway Station under the Khurda Road Division.
The contract involves the construction of a road over bridge (ROB) designed to replace an existing level crossing on the railway line. The project will include multiple bridge structures made using composite girders and T-beam girders as part of the engineering design.
The bridge will consist of one 36-metre composite girder, two 24-metre composite girders, four 18.75-metre T-beam girders and two 32-metre T-beam girders. These structural components will form the key framework of the bridge and support road connectivity across the railway line.
The total value of the project stands at ₹66,96,24,916.57, which is approximately ₹66.96 crore. According to the project terms, the work is scheduled to be completed within 24 months.
The new road over bridge will be constructed in place of an existing level crossing located near km 629/11–13 and km 629/9–11, improving traffic movement and reducing dependency on the level crossing system.
This order further expands AB Infrabuild’s involvement in infrastructure development projects related to rail connectivity and transportation. Projects of this nature contribute to improving road mobility and safety while supporting railway operations.
The contract also strengthens the company’s role as an engineering and construction contractor working on specialised infrastructure projects.
As of 13 March 2026, at 3:30 PM, AB Infrabuild Limited share price is trading at ₹16.79 per share, reflecting a decline of 1.29% from the previous closing price. Over the past month, the stock has declined by 19.32%.
The ₹66.96 crore railway bridge project from East Coast Railways adds to AB Infrabuild’s infrastructure portfolio and highlights its continued participation in transportation and railway-related construction projects in India.
