Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T), a global leader in engineering and construction, has announced multiple new orders in its Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) segment. These projects, awarded across India and the Middle East, underscore the company’s expertise in delivering cutting-edge infrastructure solutions. The newly secured contracts fall under the “Large” category, valued between ₹2,500–₹5,000 crore.
L&T will implement an Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) in West Bengal, making the power grid smarter and more reliable. This system integrates Outage and Distribution Management functionalities, enabling:
L&T has secured an order to establish a 380kV substation, which will support the evacuation of solar power, aiding Saudi Arabia’s renewable energy push.
A 400kV substation will be developed as part of a key city project, strengthening the country’s electrical infrastructure.
The company has been awarded contracts to build several extra high voltage (EHV) substations, including a 400/132kV facility. These additions aim to improve Dubai’s transmission network, enhancing its appeal as a global hub for business and tourism.
