India’s primary market activity is expected to remain subdued this week in the mainboard segment, with no new large initial public offerings (IPOs) scheduled to open for subscription. However, investor attention will shift toward the SME platform, where two new public issues (RFBL Flexi Pack and Goldline Pharmaceutical) are set to open for bidding between May 12 and May 14.
Apart from new IPO launches, the market will also witness several listings this week, including Value 360 Communications, Recode Studios, Bagmane Prime Office REIT, and Simca Advertising.
The IPO of RFBL Flexi Pack comprises a fresh issue of 70.65 lakh equity shares aggregating to ₹35.33 crore. The company has fixed the price band at ₹47-₹50 per share.
Investors can bid for a minimum of two lots comprising 6,000 shares, translating into a minimum investment requirement of ₹3 lakh at the upper price band.
The company manufactures and trades printed multilayer flexible packaging materials, including plastic film rolls and pouches used across multiple industries. It also deals in woven fabric packaging products and polyester laminated films.
According to the company, proceeds from the IPO will be used for capital expenditure, working capital requirements, and general corporate purposes. RFBL Flexi Pack believes the listing will enhance its corporate image and create a public market for its shares.
The IPO of Goldline Pharmaceutical is entirely a fresh issue worth ₹11.61 crore, with no offer-for-sale component.
The issue is priced in the range of ₹41-₹43 per share, and investors will need to apply for a minimum of two lots or 6,000 shares.
The pharmaceutical company markets products under its ‘Goldline’ brand name. Funds raised through the IPO will primarily be used for repayment of borrowings and general corporate purposes.
While the absence of mainboard IPOs may keep broader primary market activity muted, SME issues such as RFBL Flexi Pack and Goldline Pharmaceutical are expected to attract investor interest this week. Market participants will also closely track upcoming SME listings amid improving sentiment in the broader equity market.
