Helmet manufacturer Studds Accessories Ltd announced on Wednesday that it has secured nearly ₹137 crore from anchor investors, ahead of its initial public offering (IPO) opening for public subscription.
According to a circular uploaded on the BSE website, the anchor investor round witnessed strong participation from prominent institutional investors, including HDFC Mutual Fund, Nippon India Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Edelweiss Mutual Fund, ITI Mutual Fund, Kedaraa Capital Public Markets Fund I, Carnelian India Amritkaal Fund, Pinebridge India Equity Fund, and Edelweiss Life Insurance Company.
As per the filing, Studds has allocated 23,35,836 equity shares to anchor investors at a price of ₹585 per share, aggregating to approximately ₹136.64 crore. Out of this, 79.43% (18,55,346 shares) were allotted to six domestic mutual funds across ten schemes, amounting to around ₹108.37 crore.
The ₹455 crore Studds Accessories IPO will open for subscription on October 30 and close on November 3. The price band has been fixed between ₹557 and ₹585 per share, valuing the company at around ₹2,300 crore at the upper end. The issue is entirely an Offer for Sale (OFS), with the promoter group and existing shareholders collectively selling 77.86 lakh shares.
As the IPO does not include any fresh issue of shares, Studds will not receive any proceeds, and the entire amount will go to the selling shareholders.
