Importance of Shareholder Quota in Jio Platforms IPO
Having a shareholder quota rewards existing shareholders by giving them the additional opportunity to secure shares in an IPO expected to be heavily oversubscribed.
While it enhances allotment odds, it does not guarantee share allotment.
Jio Platforms Financial Performance
As of Q1FY27, Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary, served 53.33 crore customers. Its revenue for FY26 was ₹1,46,885 crore, with a net profit of ₹30,049 crore.
The funds from the IPO will be used toward repaying ₹27,500 crore of RJIL's borrowings and other corporate purposes.
