Accenture and Anthropic have reportedly signed a multi-year partnership to help companies expand their use of artificial intelligence from small pilot projects to operational deployment, as per news reports.

A key part of the plan is the creation of the Accenture Anthropic Business Group, which will train about 30,000 professionals.

This would form one of the largest groups of Claude users available to support firms adopting advanced models in routine work.

Workforce and Training

The training programme will focus on applying Anthropic’s models in areas such as software development and operational processes.

Accenture expects this group to support clients at different stages of AI adoption, allowing organisations to draw on a consistent set of technical skills and model-specific expertise across markets.

CIO Offering

The first product under the partnership is a joint offering for chief information officers. It is designed to help engineering teams measure value, assess how AI can be incorporated into existing workflows and establish a structured approach to scaling software development with AI tools.

Regulated Industries

Both firms will also work on sector-specific solutions for areas that operate under tight regulatory frameworks. These include financial services, life sciences, healthcare and the public sector.

The work will focus on modernising legacy systems, introducing AI models and addressing security and governance requirements that apply within these industries.

Use of Claude

As part of the agreement, Accenture will deploy Claude Code more widely across its developer base. Anthropic said this will be its largest rollout of the tool so far.

The broader use of Claude is expected to support teams involved in coding, testing and maintaining software, offering them a standard set of AI tools across projects.

Conclusion

The agreement outlines a large training plan, a CIO-focused product and sector-specific development work. These components provide a framework for organisations looking to expand AI across core operations.
