EPFO is Now on DigiLocker! Check PF Balance, Download UAN Card and PPO Anytime

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has made a big digital leap by offering its services on the DigiLocker app. This move allows members to access important documents and PF details conveniently from their Android smartphones.
What You Can Do on DigiLocker
EPFO members can now:
- Check PF balance and download passbook directly from DigiLocker.
- View and download key documents such as the UAN card, Pension Payment Order (PPO), and Scheme Certificate.
- Previously available on the UMANG app, these features are now also available on DigiLocker for easier access in one app.
Currently, these services are only available for Android users. iPhone users are advised to use the UMANG app for now.
New UAN Activation via Face Authentication
EPFO has also made it easier to activate your Universal Account Number (UAN) using face authentication through the UMANG app.
This is crucial because:
- Without UAN activation, members can't check their PF balance, update details, or withdraw funds online.
- UAN is also needed for schemes like the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI), which aims to provide jobs and skill training to 4 crore youth under a ₹2 lakh crore budget.
