West Bengal’s Annapurna Yojana September 2026 Instalment Released; ₹3,000 Sent to Eligible Beneficiaries

The West Bengal government has released the September 2026, instalment of the Annapurna Yojana, as per news reports. Under the scheme, eligible women receive ₹3,000 each month. The payment covers 1.58 crore beneficiaries.  

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on September 17, 2026, that the fourth instalment of ₹3,000 was reaching the bank accounts of around 1.5 crore women. 

Payment Status 

Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said most beneficiaries had received the September amount in their accounts. He added that the remaining transfers would be completed by the end of September 17, 2026. 

The release date did not mean that the money would appear in every bank account at exactly the same time. Beneficiaries who had not received the amount could check their individual application status. 

How To Check? 

The Annapurna Yojana portal has a “Track Applicant Status” option. Beneficiaries need to enter their registered mobile number and captcha to view the status. 

The portal is operated by the West Bengal government and maintained by the National Informatics Centre. 

About Annapurna Yojana 

The Annapurna Yojana was notified on May 19, 2026, and launched on June 1 by the Department of Women & Child Development and Social Welfare. 

It provides ₹3,000 a month to eligible women aged between 25 and 60 who are permanent residents of West Bengal. Applicants with monthly income below ₹10,000 and annual family income up to ₹12 lakh can qualify, subject to the scheme's other conditions. 

Documents And Applications 

Applicants need an EPIC or Voter ID, Aadhaar, and an active mobile number. Applications can be submitted online through the state portal or at designated government offices. 

Applicants are also required to provide information about income, profession, assets and benefits received from other government schemes. 

Application Numbers 

More than 1.70 crore applications have reportedly been filed since the scheme was launched. The state government said 17 lakh applications were rejected during verification. 

Fresh applications were allowed from August 20, 2026. Eligible Lakshmir Bhandar beneficiaries are also being migrated to the Annapurna Yojana after the required verification.

Conclusion 

The September ₹3,000 instalment has been credited to most beneficiaries, with remaining transfers scheduled for completion on September 17, 2026. Those still awaiting payment can use the portal to check their application status.
