VB-G RAM G National Launch to Start from Andhra Pradesh on July 1, 2026

The Viksit Bharat Rozgar aur Aajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) will be launched nationally from Andhra Pradesh on July 1, 2026, marking a key milestone in the Centre's rural development agenda.  

The announcement was made by Union Minister for Rural Development and Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan. 

Andhra Pradesh Chosen for National Rollout 

Shivraj Singh Chouhan said the launch programme will bring together Rural Development Ministers from all States and Union Territories, who will participate through video conferencing from field locations in their respective regions. 

He added that the event will introduce participants to the Gram Panchayat Development Plan while highlighting Andhra Pradesh's model panchayats and zero-waste gram panchayats. 

The state will also present its innovations in rural governance, sustainable development and community participation for wider adoption across the country. 

State Highlights Rural Development Measures 

During the discussions, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said that all projects executed under rural development programmes in Andhra Pradesh have been geo-tagged to enhance transparency and minimise irregularities.  

He also noted that a face recognition-based beneficiary verification system is nearing completion. 

Financial Support and Livelihood Initiatives 

Expressing appreciation for the Centre's support, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said the state has received an interim allocation of more than ₹7,700 crore under the VB-G RAM G initiative to accelerate rural development activities. 

The meeting also noted that coffee plantation activities have been incorporated into the programme in Andhra Pradesh to create additional livelihood opportunities and diversify rural incomes.
