The Uttar Pradesh government has signed a ₹200 crore investment agreement with Germany-based RAILONE GmbH for railway infrastructure cooperation. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya during a visit to the company’s manufacturing facility in Germany.
According to the news reports, this was part of an engagement focused on infrastructure partnerships.
During the visit, the state delegation toured the company’s plant and reviewed railway track systems and concrete sleeper manufacturing lines. Officials were briefed on production processes and quality checks followed in the manufacturing of rail components.
Discussions were also held with company representatives on technical standards and operational practices.
The agreement is to allow the state to draw on manufacturing experience and technical systems used in railway infrastructure projects abroad. Reports indicated that the discussions covered durability, production scale and compliance practices.
Concrete sleepers form a key part of railway track construction and are used across modern rail networks.
The development comes as Uttar Pradesh continues to expand its transport infrastructure. Rail connectivity remains an important component for passenger travel and freight movement across industrial areas.
Reports suggest that the agreement may support future infrastructure work through exposure to established production methods.
The state government has been engaging with international companies across infrastructure sectors. The visit to Germany involved an assessment of plant operations and component manufacturing systems.
Authorities also reviewed how production processes are aligned with long-term rail network requirements.
