Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has entered into a collaboration with Google to make authorised Aadhaar centres discoverable on Google Maps. As per the news reports, the initiative is designed to simplify access to Aadhaar services for residents nationwide.

Verified Centres with Service Details

Under the arrangement, users searching on Google Maps will be able to locate verified Aadhaar centres, including Aadhaar Seva Kendras. Listings will specify the type of services available, such as adult enrolment, child enrolment, and updates related to address or mobile numbers.

The platform will also display practical information including operating hours, parking facilities and whether centres are equipped with divyang-friendly infrastructure. The facility is expected to roll out in the coming months and will cover more than 60,000 centres across India.

UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar said the collaboration will make navigating authorised Aadhaar centres “simpler, faster, and more transparent” for Aadhaar holders.

Future Integration and Feedback Mechanism

In the next phase, UIDAI will utilise Google Business Profile to manage centre listings and respond to public feedback directly. The partnership also plans to explore enabling appointment bookings through the Google Maps interface, allowing residents to plan visits more efficiently.

Roli Agarwal, Country Head, Strategic Partnerships at Google India, stated that integrating verified Aadhaar centres will make it easier for millions to access trusted services while strengthening the connection between essential public infrastructure and citizens.
