In a move to accelerate the growth of India’s startup ecosystem, Startup India under DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CarDekho Group.
The partnership is designed to support DPIIT-recognised startups by providing them with access to technology, funding avenues, mentorship, and market linkages. This collaboration is expected to benefit entrepreneurs working across mobility, financial services, and emerging technologies.
As part of the agreement, startups will gain access to CarDekho’s wide-ranging platforms, such as InsuranceDekho, rupyy, BikeDekho, ZigWheels, PowerDrift, Revv, CollegeDekho, and Crack-ED. These platforms will help startups expand customer reach, explore collaboration opportunities, and scale more efficiently.
Additionally, the partnership will launch innovation challenges under the Bharat Startup Grand Challenge, aimed at promoting entrepreneurship in electric mobility, auto technology, finance, and sustainability. CarDekho’s leadership network will play a key role in offering domain-specific guidance, while its Girnar Vision Fund will extend co-investment support to promising ventures.
The collaboration will also focus on building entrepreneurial and technical skills through dedicated training and mentorship programs. Startups will benefit not only from market access but also from strategic mentorship and funding opportunities, enhancing their ability to innovate and grow.
Speaking about the partnership, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, Mr. Sanjiv Singh, said that the initiative would help unlock innovative solutions in mobility, finance, and sustainability. Mr. Amit Jain, Co-founder & CEO of CarDekho Group, emphasised the company’s commitment to supporting emerging entrepreneurs through mentorship, funding, and access to resources.
The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Sumeet Jarangal, Director, DPIIT, and Mr. Amit Jain, Co-founder & CEO, CarDekho Group, in the presence of senior officials.
