After successfully extending comfortable travel to non-AC passengers through Amrit Bharat services, Indian Railways is preparing to usher in a new era of overnight journeys with the introduction of the first-ever Vande Bharat Sleeper trains for AC travellers.

Designed to deliver high-quality travel for non-AC passengers, Amrit Bharat trains have expanded affordable comfort across the network.
To strengthen short and medium-distance connectivity in high-demand corridors, Indian Railways introduced Namo Bharat Rapid Rail services.
Between 1 April and 30 November 2025, Indian Railways commissioned over 900 kilometres of new track lines. In parallel, extensive renewal of existing tracks has been undertaken to ensure safer operations, higher speeds, and improved passenger comfort.
