Train Speed Raised to 100 kmph

On the 111-km broad gauge section between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Banihal in Jammu Division the trains can reach the speeds of up to 100 kmph.

Earlier the speed limit were 85kmph on the Katra-Sangaldan section and 75 kmph on the Sangaldan-Banihal section. This improvement in speed follows strict adherence to prescribed safety protocols.

Less Travel Time and Safety

As Uchit Singhal, Jammu’s Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, points out, the ripple effects are what really matter. Better, more reliable connectivity is exactly what the region needs to spark real growth in local tourism, trade, and the broader economy.
