PM 15000 Scheme: Who Can Apply For PM Viksit Bharat Yojana?
The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, also known as the PM 15000 Scheme, has been introduced to encourage employment generation and provide financial incentives to new workers. The scheme targets fresh entrants to the workforce and ensures social security coverage under the Employees Provident Fund (EPF).
Who Can Apply for PM Viksit Bharat Yojana - Eligibility Criteria
- New Employment Period: Any employee who joins a workplace between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2027 (both dates inclusive) will be considered eligible under this scheme.
- First-Time EPF Members: Applicants must not have been contributing members of the EPF or any exempted trust before August 1, 2025. This ensures that only first-time employees entering the formal workforce benefit from the program.
- Contribution Requirement: The employee’s first EPF contribution must be credited from the wage month of August 2025 onwards. This establishes their entry into the formal financial system and validates their eligibility.
- Salary Limit: Employees earning a monthly salary of up to ₹1 lakh, inclusive of all allowances and emoluments, are eligible to apply for this scheme.
- Employment Tenure: To qualify for the first instalment of the incentive, employees must complete six months of continuous employment in the same establishment. This requirement promotes job stability and discourages frequent job switching.

Benefits of the Scheme
The scheme offers eligible employees a financial incentive, with support of up to ₹15,000, thereby encouraging job creation while providing additional income support to workers in the early stages of their employment.
Conclusion
The PM Viksit Bharat Yojana is designed to support fresh workforce entrants, particularly those earning up to ₹1 lakh per month and joining formal employment between August 2025 and July 2027. By linking the scheme to EPF contributions and a minimum service period, the government ensures both social security and sustainable employment for new workers.
