The National Lok Adalat held on September 13, 2025, gave Delhi residents an opportunity to settle pending traffic challans with reduced fines or full waivers. If you missed it, don’t worry, the next Lok Adalat session in Delhi is scheduled for December 13, 2025.

Where Are Lok Adalat Hearings Held in Delhi?

Lok Adalat cases are heard at various courts and tribunals, including:

1. District Courts:

  • Tis Hazari
  • Patiala House
  • Rohini
  • Saket
  • Dwarka
  • Karkardooma
  • Rouse Avenue

2. Other Venues:

  • Delhi High Court
  • Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions
  • Debt Recovery Tribunals
  • Permanent Lok Adalats

Traffic Violations You Can Settle at Lok Adalat

If you’ve received a challan for a minor traffic offence, you can get it resolved during the Lok Adalat. Eligible offences include:

  • Not wearing a helmet or seatbelt
  • Overspeeding
  • Wrong or illegal parking
  • No valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate
  • Jumping traffic signals
  • Driving without a license or fitness certificate

What Cases Are NOT Covered by Lok Adalat?

More serious offences are excluded from Lok Adalat proceedings, such as:

  • Drunk driving
  • Hit-and-run cases
  • Fatal accidents due to negligent driving
  • Underage driving
  • Illegal street racing or use of vehicles in criminal activities
  • Cases already under trial in regular courts
