Maharashtra Government Signs 67 MoUs Worth ₹8.57 Lakh Crore With 65 Companies

The Maharashtra Government has signed 67 MoUs with 65 companies, covering proposed investments of ₹8.57 lakh crore. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the proposals could create about 2.91 lakh jobs.
The projects cover a wide range of businesses. Data centres, semiconductors, renewable energy and manufacturing are among the sectors included, along with aerospace and defence, metals, healthcare and agro-processing.
₹1 Lakh Crore Proposal From Akshat Greentech
Akshat Greentech has put forward the largest proposal, with an investment of ₹1 lakh crore across Navi Mumbai and Pune. Its plans include data centres, IT-enabled services and semiconductor-related projects.
There are several other proposals in the list. Sterlite Group is looking at digital infrastructure and semiconductor projects in Shahpur and Khalapur.
Shyam Metalics and Energy has proposed metals and mining projects in Chandrapur, while Pi-Semicon plans a semiconductor facility in Nashik. Astracity has proposed a data centre in Ratnagiri.
Investment Plans Reach More Parts Of The State
The latest proposals also cover Ahilyanagar along with Chandrapur, Nashik and Ratnagiri. Navi Mumbai and Pune remain part of the pipeline as well.
Fadnavis said the government wants local MSMEs and suppliers to find opportunities around these projects. He also spoke about taking the benefits of new investments to young workers and farmers in different parts of Maharashtra.
Invest Maharashtra Launched In Mumbai
The agreements were signed around the launch of Invest Maharashtra, a new investor-facing platform created under the Maharashtra Industries, Investment and Services Policy 2025.
The platform will work across government departments and agencies on issues such as land, infrastructure, approvals and manpower. The state has set aside ₹3,000 crore for the initiative, including a ₹1,000 crore catalytic fund for newer manufacturing and services.
Proposed Investment, Not Deployment
Maharashtra's policy has a broader target of ₹70.5 lakh crore in manufacturing and services investment, along with around 50 lakh direct jobs.
The ₹8.57 lakh crore announced now represents proposed investment under the MoUs. It does not mean that the full amount has already been invested.
