Madhya Pradesh to Develop Aerocity Near Indore Airport With ₹600 Crore Investment

The Madhya Pradesh government plans to develop an aerocity on around 11 hectares of land near Indore’s Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport. The project is to attract ₹500 crore to ₹600 crore in initial investment, as per a PTI news report citing an official.
Indore Development Authority (IDA) Chief Executive Officer Parikshit Jhade noted the proposed aerocity will be located about 500 metres from the airport. It will also have direct connectivity to the Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor.
Residential and Commercial Use
Jhade shared the details after a meeting of the IDA board of directors. He said residential developments, hotels and office activities will be allowed in the aerocity.
The initial investment estimate for the project is ₹500-600 crore. The development will come up on land located close to the airport and will be connected to the economic corridor.

Jhade said the blueprint for the amusement park is being prepared. Details of the proposed investment and completion timeline for the amusement park were not given.
