The Karnataka government has introduced a limited-time 50% waiver on pending traffic e-challan fines, valid until September 15, 2025. This move encourages the timely settlement of traffic penalties and eases the financial burden on motorists.
Payments can be made conveniently through the official Karnataka One centres and online portals.
From August 21, 2025, to September 15, 2025, vehicle owners in Karnataka can pay their pending traffic fines at half the original amount. This waiver covers e-challans issued by the Karnataka Traffic Police before the start date of the scheme. The aim is to reduce pending traffic violation dues and promote road safety compliance throughout the state.
Motorists must ensure that they pay within this deadline to avail the discount. After September 15, full fines will apply, with no further extensions announced.
Citizens can clear their traffic violation fines by visiting any Karnataka One centre across the state. They should carry their issued challan notice to the centre, where staff will assist in processing the payment. This offline payment method benefits those who prefer in-person transactions over digital payments.
Alternatively, the Karnataka One portal provides an online payment option designed for convenience. Users need to enter their mobile number and OTP, followed by vehicle registration details, to retrieve outstanding challans. Payment can then be made using multiple digital modes, including credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI, or digital wallets.
Besides Karnataka One, the Bengaluru Traffic Police official portal and popular apps like Paytm also facilitate online payment of traffic fines. Paytm users must navigate to Bill Payments, select Challan under transit services, and then choose Bangalore Traffic Police as the authority. After confirming the challan details, they can settle dues using UPI, cards, or net banking, availing the 50% waiver automatically.

These multiple channels provide flexibility and transparency. Online payments avoid long queues and offer quick confirmation receipts, while Karnataka One centres provide support for individuals without easy internet access. The waiver scheme is designed to streamline fine settlement, reduce pending cases, and encourage safer driving behaviour across Karnataka.
The 50% waiver on Karnataka traffic challans valid until September 15, 2025, offers motorists a significant opportunity to clear pending fines at half the cost. Using either Karnataka One centres or approved online portals facilitates easy payment with multiple methods available. Availing this waiver can help reduce financial burden while promoting compliance with traffic laws.
