The Indian Railways is all set to launch another Amrit Bharat Express for Bihar, making it the 11th train under the project to serve the state, as per the news reports. The new service will enhance interstate connectivity, linking Darbhanga in Bihar with Madar Junction near Ajmer in Rajasthan on a weekly basis.
Bihar will soon benefit from a fresh addition under the Amrit Bharat Express initiative. The forthcoming train will connect Darbhanga with Madar Junction (Ajmer), catering to a wide segment of middle and lower-income passengers. The route is designed to offer affordability without compromising modern amenities. Initially, this service is expected to operate weekly, offering people a direct rail link between the East and West of India.
As of now, 10 Amrit Bharat Express trains either originate from or traverse through Bihar. With the Darbhanga to Ajmer service, the count will rise to 11. Major operational routes already include Darbhanga-Anand Vihar, Saharsa-Lokmanya Tilak, Rajendranagar-New Delhi, and Bapudham Motihari-Anand Vihar, among others, covering multiple states and providing budget-friendly travel avenues.
The Amrit Bharat Express trains provide an upgraded railway experience with modern facilities at a low cost. Features include semi-automatic couplers, modular toilets, newly designed seating, emergency talkback, EP brake systems, improved lighting, fire detection systems, integrated pantry cars, and mobile charging slots. This makes them comparable in design standards to the Vande Bharat Express.
