In a significant move to foster inclusive rural growth, the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) and the Department of Posts have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance financial and logistics services in rural areas.

This partnership aims to empower Self Help Groups (SHGs), women entrepreneurs, and rural enterprises, aligning with the Union Budget 2025's vision for India Post's role in rural economic transformation.

The initiative aims to empower rural communities, contributing to a developed and self-reliant India.

Role of India Post Payments Bank

Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia emphasised the role of India Post Payments Bank in strengthening last-mile service delivery.
