At the start of October 2026 Month, just ahead of the festive season, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders in Delhi increased by ₹62.50, bringing the new price to ₹2,810, as per news report.

In contrast, the price for domestic LPG cylinders remains unchanged.

LPG Price Increase Impact on Businesses

The hike in commercial LPG prices arrives as the festive season begins, a time when demand typically rises for commercial cylinders in hotels, restaurants, and catering businesses.

These sectors rely on commercial LPG for their day-to-day operations, and the new price increase directly affects their fuel costs.

Small businesses might experience tighter margins due to the additional financial strain from the increased LPG prices. Some businesses might choose to pass on this cost to customers through higher food and beverage prices.

Back-to-Back Price Increases

This recent ₹62.50 increase follows a ₹9.50 rise in September 2026, marking consecutive months of heightened costs for businesses relying on commercial LPG. Despite these increases, households using domestic LPG cylinders face no change in their rates.

Conclusion

With the price of a 19 kg LPG cylinder now set at ₹2,810, businesses in Delhi must adjust to the new commercial LPG rates amidst the festive season. The price has seen two consecutive monthly rises from September onwards, affecting the operating costs for small and large enterprises that depend on these cylinders for their operations.
