Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Reduced by ₹183.50 to ₹2,930 Effective July 1, 2026; Domestic Rates Unchanged

The government has made a reduction in the price of commercial LPG cylinders by ₹183.50, providing relief to businesses and commercial establishments.  

As of July 1, 2026, the cost of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has decreased to ₹2,930 from ₹3,113.50. There has been no change in the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder used by households as per news report. 

LPG Price Changes in 2026 

Beginning January 2026, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi was ₹1,691.50. Prices increased significantly through the year, with a ₹28 rise on March 1, followed by another ₹114.50 increase on March 7, 2026. By May 2026, commercial LPG prices rose by an additional ₹993, taking the price to ₹3,071.50. Another hike of ₹42 was implemented on June 1, 2026. 

Revised Rates Across Cities 

Post the recent reduction, the price of commercial LPG cylinders has also fallen in other cities. In Lucknow, the price decreased from ₹3,236 to ₹3,052.50. In Kolkata, the rate dropped from ₹3,255.50 to ₹3,081.50. In Patna, the new price is ₹3,227. 

Special Additional Excise Duty Hike on Petrol Exports 

The central government has increased the Special Additional Excise Duty on petrol exports from ₹1.5 per litre to ₹4 per litre from July 1, 2026. This move aims to deter oil companies from exporting petrol to maximise domestic supply when global crude prices fluctuate.
