BSNL Extends "Freedom Plan" Offer by 15 Days Until September 15, 2025

On September 1, 2025, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) announced an extension of its "Freedom Plan" offer by 15 days in response to the overwhelming customer demand. Originally set to end on August 31, 2025, the plan will now be available for new activations until September 15, 2025. 

This move is designed to allow more customers to take advantage of BSNL's complimentary 4G services for 30 days at a token activation fee of ₹1.

Freedom Plan Benefits for New BSNL Customers

The Freedom Plan offers a range of benefits for new activations, including unlimited voice calls (subject to the plan's terms and conditions), 2GB/day high-speed data, and 100 SMS/day. Additionally, customers will receive a free SIM card upon successful KYC verification as per Department of Telecommunications (DoT) guidelines. This plan is part of BSNL's initiative to promote its newly launched state-of-the-art 4G network, developed under the "Make in India" vision.

Ravi, CMD of BSNL, highlighted that the extension will provide more opportunities for customers to experience BSNL’s indigenously developed 4G network, promising quality service, reliable coverage, and an overall positive experience that would encourage users to stay beyond the introductory 30-day period.

How to Avail the Freedom Plan?

To avail the Freedom Plan, customers must visit their nearest BSNL Customer Service Centre (CSC) and carry valid KYC documents. The process includes activating the plan with a ₹1 token fee, completing the KYC procedure, and receiving a free SIM. The 30-day complimentary period begins from the date of activation.
