Avaada Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat to invest ₹36,000 crore in renewable energy projects. Reports suggest that the agreement was finalised at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2025.
Under the MoU, the company plans to set up 5 GW of solar power, 1 GW of wind power, and 5 GWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity. The projects will be located in Kutch, Banaskantha, and Surendranagar districts.
The projects are expected to be commissioned between 2027 and 2030. Work will be carried out in phases across different locations.
A 280 MW solar project in Surendranagar will cover 1,170 acres with an investment of ₹1,500 crore. Another project, a 100 MW solar plant in Vadodara, will be set up with an investment of ₹400 crore under the Gujarat State Solar Policy.
The projects are expected to generate more than 1,000 direct jobs and around 2,000 indirect jobs. During construction, employment for about 5,000 people is anticipated.
