The Andhra Pradesh government has approved an increase in land allocation for Raiden Infotech India Pvt Ltd, a Google-affiliated company, to establish large-scale AI data centres in the state. The total land allotment has been expanded from 480 acres to 601.4 acres, reflecting the scale and strategic importance of the nearly ₹90,000 crore investment.

The approval was granted for land allocation by the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) in favour of Adani Infra (India) Ltd, the notified partner of Raiden Infotech for project execution.

Revised Land Distribution Across Key Locations

Under the revised plan, the land parcels have been allocated as follows:

  • 266.6 acres at Tarluvada
  • 160 acres at Adavivaram and Mudasarlova
  • 175 acres at Rambilli

These locations fall within the Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli districts, positioning the project within a key industrial and technology growth corridor.

Previously, the allocation totalled 480 acres, distributed across Rambilli (160 acres), Adavivaram and Mudasarlova (200 acres), and Tarluvada (200 acres). The updated configuration aligns with revised project requirements and infrastructure planning.

SPVs and Project Execution Framework

Raiden Infotech has requested that all land allotments be issued in the name of Adani Infra (India) Ltd, which has submitted detailed project reports for the three sites. The company is also in the process of incorporating three special purpose vehicles (SPVs) to ensure streamlined execution and regulatory compliance.

The proposed SPVs include:

  • Vizag Hyperscale Data Center Park Limited (Adavivaram-Mudasarlova)
  • Vizag Mega Data Center Park Limited (Tarluvada)
  • Vizag Mega Data Center Park Limited (Rambilli)

Additionally, Adani Infra and AdaniConneX have been authorised as key points of contact for finalising land transactions and developing the advanced AI data centre campuses, along with associated infrastructure.

Conclusion

The expanded land allocation underscores Andhra Pradesh’s ambition to position itself as a major hub for AI-driven data infrastructure. With a proposed investment of nearly ₹90,000 crore and structured execution through SPVs, the project is expected to significantly boost technology investment, employment generation, and digital infrastructure development in the Visakhapatnam region.
