Gold prices traded largely steady across major Indian cities on January 8, 2026, while silver prices declined by over 1.4% during morning trade.

Gold prices remained largely stable across key Indian cities on Thursday, January 8, 2026, with only minor variations seen across markets.

As per the latest available data, 24-carat gold was trading between ₹1.37 lakh and ₹1.38 lakh per 10 grams across major centres, while 22-carat gold prices ranged from ₹1.25 lakh to ₹1.26 lakh per 10 grams.

Silver prices, however, witnessed a sharper decline during morning trade. Across major cities, silver prices fell by around 1.43% to 1.44%.
